Self-serve beer stores? O Canada!
With our focus on craft beer here at CC – check out our Boulevard and Free State work if you please – we always have our eyeball on interesting stuff happening in the world of delicious beer. Here is something certainly interesting from the Beer Store in Toronto.
First of all, it’s a self-serve beer store. Second of all, it will “primarily sell single bottles and cans, as well as smaller case sizes such as six and 12-packs, to cater to people that walk or bike to stores.”
A brief fatherly interlude: Please don’t drink and bicycle. You could crash into a parked car or a tree or a pedestrian.

Here’s some more description from Dave Paterson of the Beer Store.
“Apart from being a visual departure from the homely interiors Ontario beer drinkers have grown accustomed to, Beer Store brand manager Dave Paterson says The Beer Boutique will also offer in-house samplings and programs that cater to beer enthusiasts, focusing on beer knowledge, and beer and food pairings.”
Anyway, it sounds pretty cool to this craft beer enthusiast – what do you guys think?
And thanks to Stones for the tip.
